SMALL SAVERS DAY CARE CENTER NOT TO MOVE OUT OF THE GOVERNMENT BUILDING

Small Savers, the day-care center got a scare of stepping down from the government building in which it was based. With a new reform in the law, the child care unit was quite unintentionally ordered to evacuate from the basement area of the building.

This is where it works as of now for the past twenty four years. None the less with due intervention from even the officials themselves the day care unit has got a lot of respite and may now continue with its services. The 24 year old legacy of the day care will perhaps continue to bloom with more and more children becoming a part of it in time.

John Walsch, whose team will soon be shifting over to the building, is the acting Comptroller of the Currency. It was he who broke the pleasant news to them in a letter that they received. The very noble intention of the group of Small Savers was sympathetically approved of by the man who allowed them to continue operating. He was more than forthcoming in his admiration. There were earlier heavy reactions though, from a section of parents who actively participated and opposed the shifting of the day care center.

The Small Savers have a bunch of 70 little ones, whose care it takes on a daily basis even as their busy parents are out on work. The services provided by the day care unit are simply invaluable and rightfully saw great participation and active campaigning on parts of the visibly outraged parents. Interestingly, a list of these parents whose little kids attend or are rather attended at the Small Savers day care are reputed lawyers, journalists, even White House staffers.

We Care Project include community care social work activities list from which the children select any of the community care work translating into Gibraltar community development. Visit www.wecaregib.com for more information.
